The Amazon Rain Forest Is Dying! #PrayForAmazon

The Amazon Rainforest is getting scorched!
The Amazon Rainforest which is also known as The Amazonia or Amazon Jungle is the largest and most bio-diverse tract of Tropical Rainforest in the world, with an estimated 390 billion individual trees divided into 16000 species. It represents over half of the planet's remaining rainforests. It covers most of the  Amazon Basin of South America as the basin encompasses 7,000,000 sq km of which, 5,500,000 sq km is covered by the rainforest and the majority of the forest is contained within Brazil which is 60%.This rainforest is the one of the most important forest for our planet because it produces more than 20% of the earth's Oxygen and absorbs most of the world's Carbon Dioxide and is often called the 'lungs of the planet' and besides that, more than half of the world's estimated 10 million species of plants, animals and insects live in the tropical rainforests and One-Fifth of the world's fresh water is in the Amazon Basin.I remember this forest from my school days when we used to learn about it in our geography classes. But it is in deep trouble.

The most important forest in the world is in grave danger of being burned out of existence and this is not just a normal forest fire,at least not when you consider that it was no accidental fire and it was indeed intentional. It is really awful because it is burning at a record rate destroying all kinds of wildlife and contaminating the atmosphere and according to the INEP(National Institute for Space Research), the fire rate has increased by 83% in the Amazon compared to last year and there have already been more 72000 fires this year which is horrifying. The Amazon Rainforest is the worlds largest Carbon Dioxide store and hence plays a very important role in the reduction of global warming but for how long?Do Humans do not really care about climate change anymore?Have we taken our planet for granted? Was this planet only made for us and no other creature? The saddest part is that the forest has been continuously burning for not one day,not two days, but for almost three straight weeks and nobody even knew about it.There was no news and no media coverage whatsoever and people only started learning about it after it blew up on Twitter through its Trending section, gaining more than 2 million tweets on the subject!Without Twitter,we probably would have never known that the world's largest life cycle machine is at the verge of death,at least not anytime soon. This shows that mainstream media does not report the things they should report on,at least not before it blows up on social media. The media was crying about the Notre Dame when it was caught on fire but they all went quiet in this case!(No offense to Notre Dame.I love you 3000)

The Amazon Rainforest Trending even today!
According to the INEP(National Institute for Space Research), the forest is burning at a rate of  1.5 soccer fields per minute of a day which is very scary and horrifying and they have also said that there has been no abnormal change in the weather to start the fire and although the dry and drought conditions help to spread the forest fires and deforestation, the magnitude of current fire confirms that it is deliberately a man made fire.As of now, it seems like that the fire was caused by the farmers illegally and deliberately to clear out the area so that could use the land for cattle ranching.Cattle ranching is the strongest driver of deforestation and causes more than 80% deforestation in the area.Brazil is also the largest exporter of cattle in the world. So the Amazon is being burned because of money and profit?I mean how blind people can be?It seems like the farmers clearly do not care about climate change and only care about their profits and hence, they are deliberately destroying the earth's most important life support system. The Lungs of the planet is suffocating and you can see the scope of the disaster in the below tweets.

 Even more

The Brazilian Native Speakers are also in lot of pain because they understand the importance of this forest and the importance of nature as a whole. They even fought against Big Oil and their Lawsuit was a success which allowed them to save numerous trees.
The thick smoke has covered the skies of  São Paulo in the middle of the day and it is horrifying and can be seen from space. The place is covered in darkness and the rain water is contaminated!

Thousands of animals have suffered due to this calamity and it is very sad and horrifying to see the devastating sight of animals scorched to death.
So much damage and destruction for what, profit?Sometimes I think we do not deserve this planet because we as a human society are a failure to mother nature.
And what is even more rage inducing is the fact The President of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro clearly seems like he is struggling with this whole thing and he does not seem too much bothered by this event.Last month, instead of looking into the facts about deforestation that was provided by INEP(National Institute for Space Research), he decided to accuse the director of lying about the reports even when the reports were 95% accurate.Bolsonaro government is also being blamed for increased rate of deforestation since their policies are more about relaxation of environmental control. He is also playing the blame game now by blaming NGOs(Non government organizations) for causing the fire because he 'thinks' they want to ruin the image of his government globally and he does not even provide evidence to support his accusations but who he blames or what he says does not matter.I do not care if he is right wing or left wing but he is not taking the right action to reduce or limit the fire,at least I have not seen it anywhere. It does not help that he was giving excuses for the farmers burning the forest. It seems like he only cares about plastic currency and does not give two shits about the planet's health. The future of the planet seems dark and I have no idea where it is going to go but at this point,I guess world deserves a reset and we deserve to 'not exist'.

Can we do something about it?I do not think we can do much except pray but one thing we can do is contribute to nature by as simple as searching the Web.We can use Ecosia search engine,a very special search engine that uses its profits to plant trees! They plant one tree for every 45 searches that we perform on the engine. And they care about our privacy unlike Goog.....Nevermind.

The Ecosia search engine that plants trees for every 45 searches that you make!
They also have a mobile browser that works the same as the search engine and is also faster than Chrome and is available on both Android and IOS!
Google Play Store Link -  Click Here
IOS App Store Link - Click Here
This is so simple and I like the idea of helping the planet while searching the Internet!

26th January Farmer 'Protests' from a logical point of view.

26th January was the honorable occasion of India's Republic Day but what was supposed to be a honorable occasion turned out to be a nightmare later in the evening when a mob of so called farmers decided to do mayhem all around the Red Fort in Delhi . It was just not just a protest anymore and it was more like a full fleshed violent mob attack in Delhi. People were already saying that this mob was about to do something really big on 26th January and as people thought, it happened. Thank god that it happened after the Republic Day event celebration instead of during it or else, things could have gone really bad. Now I tried to look at this from logical point of view because since its been few days now and the situation has calmed down a little, I think it is the best time to talk about this without getting lost in our stupid emotions. To talk about it in a logical point of view, we have to keep aside a few thinks. Firstly we should keep aside whatever is the farmer bill or whate...
